I've tried booting up the game several times now and when i press any key at the title menu the game instantly freezes. Even if i force close the game through task manager steam still recognizes the game as running and cant "stop" the game.
Greetings BSL Team ! Here is my Bug / Feedback post for the 09.02 BETA session. This post includes some self-thought concepts and ideas as well. //// Bugs & Glitches 🞄 On some fullscree n resolutions (tested on 1080 p and 720 p) the lower right sid e of the screen, has a chance to trigge r something, that brings up the desktop curso r and unfocu s the gam e. 🞄 Whilst being in a part y, the game disconnect s as soon as a player tries to join a private serve r with enough free player slots in i t, same issue with practice mod e. I would suggest a pop-up prompt warnin g the player that this action, will likely disband the part y . 🞄 After the mentioned disconnection abov e, the party remains intac t (VOIP still work s), yet the game detects that the party has been disbande d. The player can fix this issu e, by manually disbanding the empty part y. This issue has been reproduced 5 out of 5 times . 🞄 Private server s sometimes cause long black screen loading with musi c, until music stop s and the game returns to the main menu whil e reloading the player mode l and texture s causing performance issue s for a short amount of tim e. Tested on two different rigs, FPS drop triggers not guaranteed, might be something on client side . 🞄 The goal-gat e* has strang e if not incorrect collision detectio n. Sometimes a clear bar sho t is registered as a goa l, causing inconvenience and rage amongst the player s. (*What the actual hell is the official name for those things? I'm not well known to the Lore, fill me in! ) 🞄 The bot s can get stuck behin d the enem y or their own team' s goal-gat e*, staying completely motionles s, yet responsiv e if you approach them with the bal l*. They are even able to get hold of i t and stay there. (*Still don't know the name for neither of these. ) //// Feedback 🞄 The in-game colours for hairs, doesn't really reflect the hair's actual material colour and differ. 🞄 There is no option for the in-game Voice Chat, to be turned off or set it to push-to-talk. Lowering the VOIP volume to 0, doesn't change the volume at all. 🞄 I genuinely feel a lack of tutorial/explanation for in-game systems so far. The deconstruction, the in-game currencies and the duplicate item systems. (I know its still early-access and bet a.) 🞄 The UI for taunting in-match is not too responsive. If you look at concurrent competitive titles, a taunt system has to be fast, fluid so in our case, we can boast during the celebration camera's short but enough time. 🞄 The Magnet system or spell for the Ball* is not self-explanatory, and hard to figure out sometimes. This can be due to my other problem, the Ball* behaving strange or wonky. Smooth gameplay and fluid mechanics are the key. 🞄 The replay scene for each goal for my taste is a bit too long, it can be due to the slow-motion's amount, or just the length of the scene. Against a good team, or during a competitive match it would be painful, to watch 30 seconds of gameplay and 30 seconds of replay. 🞄 Matchmaking UI is lacklustre, the eye can easily miss it, especially when it goes timed out. Little UI design and some sound prompts or animations and it will be good. 🞄 In my opinion, the bots move-set, and programming is too OP for an average new player, who just happens to find himself against one in a match thanks to a leaving player. Regulating the bots difficulty would come in handy both in private servers and in real matches. (I felt like there's something like that behind the scenes, because in one moment they are OP, in the next they are not.) 🞄 Double space "Dash" is an awesome feeling, but it can be exploited and be used like that makes it too OP. Regulating or connecting it somehow to the boost stamina could prove a solution. Also dash animations could vary, creating more cinematic feeling for the spectator or player. 🞄 End of the match is too lacklustre, without any animation or sound it just goes to the scoreboard and experience/reward screen. This adds a feel of being indie/early access, yet fastens match times. Need a golden path for this. 🞄 Reward screen is lacklustre, and not self-explanatory. We got lots of items that just said "black". It's a colour, but for what, why, when, where? Also see my ideas in case of this. //// Concepts an d Ideas 🞄 Broom customisation, for parts of the broom for aesthetics only, and its a good way to produce items to the shop for longer support from players. But you already have a lot of item types that could get their attention. 🞄 Special Goal Animations are here, but what about special shooting animations? Or spell? Standing on the broom kicking it. Animation can be fast and fluid or interrupted. I know I go too far. 🞄 Enchanted Reward Boxes! Just to avoid calling them anything else, that would create controversy. This would replace the reward distribution at the end of the match or levelling up, and grant duplicates, new items with animation and hover-over tooltip like description of the item. (Also if you want to log-out of the game it costs 9.99$ /s) 🞄 Role system in a competitive match (Ranked) to avoid everyone trying to score a freaking goal, and ruin a teamup with randoms. To start matchmaking, choose your role as defender, attacker, or keeper. (The last one is copyrighted, so avoid it, but you get the idea) This would not break the core game mechanics, by restricting any player from any action, simply it would create opportunity to regulate a nor mal match.
